Looking Inside Yourself - Finding Motivation

Updated: Oct 28, 2024

I wanted to get in great shape. Let's be honest here, who doesn't? But, it's a ton of work and sacrifice, and I was not properly motivated. I thought a beach trip or a scale number, or even a great fitting pair of jeans would do it. Nope. Turns out it took pain, real physical pain to properly motivate me to get fit.

Warning - TMI coming up: I have lived my entire adult life plagued by UTIs. I have done all the things, taken all the drugs, done all the cleaning and peeing and ugh... all of it. So, I decided to try a whole body candida reset. I was motivated to stop feeling terrible, to no longer live in varying degrees of physical pain. However, this also meant an incredibly strict diet for a long time.

And guess what. IT WORKED!

Finding motivation that is right for you

I needed the right motivation, and once I had it, I was able to successfully reach my goal of living without pain, and I also benefitted from a new level of fitness from the clean eating.

Did it take a ton of work and sacrifice? Yes! Was it totally worth it? Yes!

You can do it too. Whatever it is. Look inside yourself (or get pissed off about the pain - emotional, physical, psychological) and find motivation that works for you! This is the key. This is your why. This will drive you when nothing else will. Except maybe your life coach.
